Itinerary

  • Lerik: You will see a mighty waterfall, admire the sparkling streams of water and breathe in the clean, cool air.
  • Next, the plantations where the famous Lankaran tea is grown. You will inhale the aroma of fresh tea leaves and learn the secrets of production.
  • On the shore of Lake Khanbulan, surrounded by greenery, you will relax and admire how the sky and surrounding mountains are reflected in the water.
  • We will have lunch in a cozy restaurant with a magnificent view of the Caspian Sea. Here you will feel the tastes of the south and enjoy Azerbaijani cuisine.
  • We will visit an ancient lighthouse that has illuminated the path of sailors for centuries. And nearby is an ancient mosque, shrouded in an atmosphere of spirituality and tranquility.
  • In Castle Zindan, Lankaran, you’ll see the historic prison tower used during the Russian Empire, possibly linked to Stalin. You'll also find remains of the old fortress walls from the Talysh Khanate era offering a glimpse into the city's defensive past.
  • The Khan Palace in Lankaran, also known as the Palace of Mir Ahmad Khan, is a notable historical and architectural landmark built in 1913. Commissioned by Mir Ahmad Khan, the last ruler of the Talysh Khanate, the palace was constructed by French architects and showcases a blend of European and Oriental architectural styles.

Originally built as a residence, the palace now houses the Lankaran Museum of History.
  • Istisu Spring: Finally, burning water, an amazing natural phenomenon. Flames burst out of the water, just like in the ancient legends about this region.
