- Galleria dell'Accademia: The museum is home to an array of artistic masterpieces, the best-known being Michelangelo’s “David”. Housed in the main gallery this statue towers above the onlookers. The Accademia also holds a number of unfinished sculptures by Michelangelo as well as pieces by Botticelli, Paolo Uccello and Andrea del Sarto, to name but a few.
