- Tell el-Amarna: It is the cradle of the new god Aton who was first worshiped by King Amenophis fourth (known by the name Akhinaton)
- Al Minya: It is called the funeral chamber of Beni Hassan that dates back to the Middle Kingdom, from 2055 to 1650 BC. The tombs of Beni Hassan are carved in some limestone hills on the eastern bank of the Nile. It is also considered as the establishment of burials to provincial rulers killed during the Middle Kingdom.
