** This mosque is often seen as a landmark of early Ottoman architecture and it’s known as the Mosque of Mehmed I, also, recently named UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll be amazed by the arts, colors, and decorations of the vestibule at the entrance leading up a short staircase to a central prayer hall.
** In the prayer hall itself, dark green hexagonal and triangular tiles (including some nineteenth and thirteenth-century replacements) cover the lower portions of the walls.
