Most are simple, functional, and inexpensive, but the historic hamams, especially those built by the sultans to serve their imperial mosques, are beautiful works of Ottoman architecture made of fine marble with rich decoration. NOTES: The Turkish bath is not recommended for guests with cardio and breathing disabilities. You may either bring a bathing suit or use the pashmina clothing provided at the venue. The floor in the Turkish Bath is slippery so plan consider this when selecting footwear. Personal bathing items for the Turkish Bath are recommended such as a change of clothes and toiletries.
