Itinerary
- San Agustin Church - Immaculate Conception Parish: Start the walking tour at the entrance/exit gate of pier 15 and enter the old town thru the Western Gates of Santa Lucia and walk the cobbled streets to San Agustin Church, the country’s oldest stone church, a UNESCO World Heritage. Visit the collection of ecclesiastical icons, vestments and other religious articles.
- Casa Manila: Cross the street to Casa Manila, a reproduction of the 19th century house equipped with oriental and European décor, as well as Philippine antique furniture. Afterwards proceed towards the cathedral that was damaged during WWII and restored in 1958.
- Fort Santiago: Continue to Fort Santiago, the old Spanish fortress at the mouth of Pasig River where great moments of Philippine history occurred. Learn about national hero Dr Rizal’s fight for freedom. Walk parts of the 4.5 km long ramparts and admire the skyline of modern Manila before returning to the port.
