Itinerary
- Samarkand: Your driver will be in the lobby of your hotel with welcome sign of your name and transfer to the border (takes an hour to get to the border)
- Panjakent: The border crossing takes around 40 minutes. At the Tajikistan side travelers will be met by Tajik guide and the driver with sign of their names and drive to Penjikent.
Penjikent is northern Tajikistan’s main archaeological site. This rich, cosmopolitan place thrived on the banks of the Zarafshan River until destroyed by Arab invaders in 722. Silk cocoons were unearthed at the site during excavations.
Sarazm is located 20 km west of Penjikent city and it is one of the oldest settlements in Central Asia, where archaeologists have unearthed a Bronze Age temple complex and 2,500-year-old grave of a wealthy woman. - Seven Lakes: The Seven Lakes region, located in the picturesque Fann Mountains of Tajikistan, serves as a stunning natural wonder that attracts nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Nestled at an elevation of approximately 2,200 meters, this area is recognized for its remarkable landscape, comprising seven interconnected lakes, each varying in size and color, creating a vibrant tapestry of blues and greens.
