- Bibi Khanym Mosque: Bibi Khanym Mosque The largest mosque in Central Asia including Iran. It was built by Tamerlane's beloved wife in honor of the victory over India.
- Siab Bazaar: Siyab - Oriental Bazaar with spices, fresh and dry fruits and of course the famous Samarkand bread.
- Hazrat Khizr Mosque: The first mosque of Samarkand where the first President of the Republic was buried.
- Shah-i-Zinda: The complex consists of about 20 mausoleums. Female tomb of Tamerlan's family. Most importantly, the only place in Central Asia where a relative of the prophet was buried.
- The Observatory was built by Ulughbek who was grandson of Tamerlan. Ulugbek is the only astronomer in the Islamic world who was in parallel the head of empire
- Afrasiyab Museum: The only museum in Uzbekistan where preserved frescoes from the pre-arabic period of Central Asia (VII A.C.)
- Samarkand Paper Mill in Konigil whereyou can get acquainted with the unique way of producing paper from mulberry tree, which is made exclusively in the ancient traditions.
