Itinerary
- Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble: First stop is Ananuri fortress ( XIV c.). proudly standing on the conjoining place of two mountain rivers, overlooking emerald colored, Jinvali water basin dipped into mountains. We’ll be climbing up onto towers of Ananuri fortress. Lots of mysterious legends about those towers are still preserved by our ancestors.
- Gudauri: we will stop in a ski resort of Gudauri, where one can enjoy beautiful views of the mountains or enjoy skiing, snowboarding, paragliding (according the season)
- Gergeti Trinity Church: After Gudauri we continue our way to Stephantsminda and visit Gergeti Trinity Cathedral standing on 2200 meters above the sea level. Enjoy the mesmerizing views on the village Stephantsminda and on the nearby mountains.
- Russian Georgian Friendship Monument: On the way from Ananuri to Gudauri stop at the Friendship monument of Russian and Georgian People. Monument was made in 1983 for the 200 years of friendship between Georgia and Russia. From here you can enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and learn some facts from the history of Georgia and Russia.
